a promise.

close to two years ago, i promised myself that on the day i turned twenty-five, i would be a self employed photographer. one way or another i would make it happen. better or for worse came into play time and time again. there were times spent working two jobs a day where the better part of sixteen hour shifts would involve washing dishes. only to come home, and find dirty dishes.

this past saturday marked the first day of self employment for me. all i can say is that i feel blessed. to perfectly align everything, the usual crew went on a camping trip to point roberts in what has become a friendship based on carpe diem.

i wanted to look up at the stars while i slept so i never brought a tent. the sunrise woke me up within seconds. the following photos were taken from my sleeping bag while i was in the sand. (i accidentally used my camera as a pillow)
